Academics

Academics

Nanny Jean’s Academy follows structured classroom schedules from infants through VPK. We find that this classroom model assists young children in learning routines, class expectations, and developing a sense of comfortability within their school environment.

Age-appropriate academic activities are also implemented throughout the day. Children are given opportunities for free play to build on early social and emotional skills and apply academic lessons through real life interactions.

Our program curriculum, Funnydaffer is a phenomenal early childhood curriculum created by Teachers for Teachers! Lessons are individualized for specific age groups and provide engaging opportunities for both Teacher- led activities and child led discovery. Children are able to engage in weekly hands-on lessons covering science, technology, engineering, art, and math.

Outdoor enrichment is also incorporated daily, allowing children to focus on their gross motor development, participate in team games and discover the wonders of our natural environment.

Nanny Jean’s Academy believes young children learn through play, self-discovery, and from the world around them.

In our program, we embrace the culture of our 21st century society through the study of diverse language and the implementation of technology. Our Students are introduced to Spanish immersion from infants through VPK.

Children engage in cultural song, dance, literature, art, and hands on activities to help their understanding of the world around them.

Our learning lab is equipped with individual preschool tablets, where children are able to dive into practical lessons, in a more informal way. Interactive games, and educational videos help our students to navigate academic lessons and themes right at their fingertips.

Parent Communication

Parent Communication

Parent communication is of upmost importance in our program. We believe the key to a child’s early success is a health Parent Teacher relationship. While we welcome in person communication with our open-door policy, we do also understand the busy lives parents have! Thankfully the use of technology has been a dependable, and successful resource at Nanny Jeans Academy. Our childcare software program Brightwheel, converts into a convenient app right on your phone, so you won’t miss any part of your child’s day! This system is utilized as our school wide tool for staff to securely communicate with families and share children's progress on a continual basis. Parents are able to receive interactive photos, health checks, teacher notes and so much more while their child is in our care.
